Marietha has deep roots in the marketing field. Her understanding of B2B marketing in the digital arena is underscored by lessons learned in the typesetting and newspaper layout discipline as a young advertising and sales representative. Subsequent moves in Marietha’s career landed her a position in desk top publishing putting her ahead of others in using computers for layout on academic journals. From there the die was cast and she followed a variety of avenues where computing made inroads into marketing, printing and publishing. This culminated in her move to digital marketing where she has had a long and productive career with Accenture as part of the Site Management team. Working as part of Accenture’s globally distributed Marketing and Communications team Marietha learned valuable lessons on working across timeszones and cultures with a variety of operational team members and clients in one of the most competitive and influential consulting firms in the world.

As Marietha progressed in her career through team leadership and then a few entrepreneurial roles she found a love for leading others by using the techniques used by professional life coaches. She used this to support a variety of team members and colleagues and has formalized this part of her career by becoming a life coach in 2008. Marietha has continued refining her coaching approach and is currently completing accreditations in Neuro-coaching and Multi-level Neuro-coaching which are aligned with the International Coaches Register .

Marietha is an avid gardner and resonates with the quote by James P Carse - Gardening is not outcome-orientated. A successful harvest is not the end of the gardener's existence, but only a phase of it . Whether working on a marketing campaign or coaching an executive she understands that value is derived from each step in the process and that the journey is part of the outcome.
